Academic 

 

Congratulations to Grace from Year 5 on receiving the prestigious award from the Parliament of Thailand! Grace's exceptional achievement was recognised for her outstanding video submission in the "คนดี รักษ์โลก" (Good People preserves The World) competition, under the English language video category for individuals under 23 years old, hosted by the Sub-Committee on Morals and Ethics under the Senate Standing Committee on Religions, Morals, Ethics, Arts, and Culture, together with Catholic Association of Thailand and Port Authority of Thailand. Also, a shoutout to Mr. Ratcliffe and the whole Almond class who went to support her at the award ceremony. Well done, Grace!  

 

 

Sport

Our Wellington Chess Team had an amazing time at the King's Bangkok Chess Championship last weekend! Pete, Mike, Mattie, Ai, Latte, and Almond from Year 7 rocked the U12 division, while Mark from Year 9, along with T.T. and Home from Year 7, dominated the U14 division. We're bursting with pride as Pete clinched the U12 championship title, and Mark, T.T., and Home scored big as the 1st Runner Up Top School in the secondary division! Congratulations to our fantastic team! 

 

 

 

What an incredible victory for Jackfruit (Year 8) in tennis at the LTO Junior Championship 2024 #1! Despite a tough start, Jackfruit's resilience shone through, securing the win in the last two sets of the boys' singles under 14 category. Huge thanks to Coach Jay for the coaching. Here's to a fantastic start to 2024 for Jackfruit on and off the court! 
 

 

 

Emily (Year 5) secured an impressive 3rd place in tennis at the recent J Junior Championship hosted by the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand last weekend, despite challenging weather conditions. Her victory in a nail-biting super tiebreak, with a score of 10-8, showcases her remarkable resilience. Congratulations, Emily! 🎾👏 
 

 

 

Music

 

🎻 Alice (Year 5) clinched a Gold Prize Award for her violin performance in the String Age 10-11 category at the Thailand Talented Musician Competition. Additionally, she's been invited to perform at The Winner Gala Concert at the Thailand Cultural Centre in Bangkok in May 2024! Let's celebrate Alice's musical success with a joyful melody! 🎶🌟 

 

 


Another shining star on the music corner, Theelyn (Year 4) has been awarded the prestigious "Gold Medalist" title in the Rising Star category for voice at the 2023-24 Canadian International Music Competition (CIMC). Well done, Theelyn!  🌟🎶
