Hannah joined Wellington College Bangkok in August 2020 as Head of Junior School, having previously taught and led in a number of world class schools including Dulwich College Suzhou, one of the top International schools in China.
Hannah’s passion for developing the most effective and engaging educational practices begun during her BA at Newcastle University, focused on Philosophy and Psychology. She then completed her PGCE followed by further research into educational practices during her MPhil. After teaching for a few years, in 2009 she partook in further study at King’s College London, focused on the power of creative arts in the classroom and the importance of cross-curricular teaching to support children in making personalised connections to their learning.
Throughout her experiences in schools, Hannah has continuously focused on forming strong, trusting relationships with children, parents and teachers in a school, believing fully in developing a caring and inclusive environment where every individual is supported to achieve their full potential. She also believes in the importance of educating the whole child – providing students with a wide range of authentic learning opportunities that develop their creative thinking skills, ability to solve problems, and developing their understanding of how they are able to apply their learning to the world around them.
Hannah is delighted to be leading the Wellington College Junior School team, developing endless opportunities for extraordinary learning that really encompass what it means to be a Wellingtonian.
