Daniel Bell joined the Humanities Department as Geography teacher at Wellington College Bangkok in August 2024. Daniel graduated from the Universidade do Minho, Portugal with a B.Soc.Sci in Geography and Planning and has since completed PGCE and QTS qualifications at St.Mary’s University Twickenham, London. His initial teaching role was at Harris Academy in the UK. He has since been teaching at Newton International Academy, Qatar developing his teaching and adapting to an International setting. During this time he has become Lead Practitioner of Geography as well as MUN director. He has been focusing his abilities on GCSE and A-level Geography and Environmental Management. “I feel extremely lucky to be able to pursue my passion for Geography both inside and outside the classroom, sharing my passion with young minds at Wellington College Bangkok and introducing them to the world around them while also exploring our world through the opportunity of International teaching. Geography is an essential part to a persons place in this world and offers each individual the opportunity to connect with various aspects of the physical and human environment. It supports the development of a broad range of skills such as critical thinking, analysis and reasoning, a unique blend that can be applied to many different areas and can help develop our students into well rounded, thoughtful and respectful young adults.”
