Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions a family will make. At Wellington College International School Bangkok, we are committed to making the admissions process clear, supportive, and personalised for every family.
The best way to experience our school’s ethos and atmosphere is to visit during a normal school day — explore our beautiful campus, meet our welcoming staff, and see our happy students in action.

Step 2. Book a Visit
Experience the Wellington difference by visiting our campus and meeting our community.
Our Open Mornings are designed for small groups of families and tailored as far as is possible, to the age of your child(ren). You will have the opportunity to hear from one of our senior academic staff about the unique and inspiring all round education that Wellington College International School Bangkok can offer your child, to take a tour of the School and to have a follow up meeting with admissions.
Attendance for each session is limited and prior booking in advance is required.
These are offered to families who have completed an Application Form for their child(ren). The visit is tailored specifically to your own requirements and will include a one-to-one meeting with the Master, Head of Junior School or Head of Senior School, a bespoke tour of the school with the opportunity to meet specific members of staff and may also include some time for your child(ren) to sit an assessment.

You will be asked to make a video of your child undertaking a set of simple tasks in the comfort and safety of your own home. These will be reviewed by our Early Years Foundation Stage teachers and a recommendation made for admission. If the videos are inconclusive, we may invite your child in for an in-person assessment.
Your child(ren) will be invited into school to spend some time in our Reception environment, exploring the wide number of learning opportunities whilst being observed to understand how they are able to communicate and interact with their peers and adults.
All prospective Key Stage 1 children are invited for a one-hour session in school where a teacher will review their reading, writing, phonics and speaking skills. A member of the academic staff will also meet with you to discuss your child’s developmental milestones and whether he or she is ready to join Wellington College in the requested year group.
If your child is applying for entry into Key Stage 2 and above, he or she will be invited to take a computer-based cognitive ability test to assess readiness and potential to access the curriculum at Wellington College. There is no need to prepare for this in advance. Your child will also be asked to undertake a creative writing task and attend an informal interview in which her or she should be prepared to talk about an object or topic of interest.
Remote assessments are available for families residing overseas.
Step 5. Review
The Admissions and Academic Teams review each application, assessment results, and previous school reports (where applicable).
Families should disclose any special educational needs at this stage, including relevant documentation such as educational psychologist reports or IEPs, so we can determine appropriate support provision.
Admission decisions are communicated by email within ten working days of assessment.
Step 6. Letter of Offer
Successful applicants will receive a formal Letter of Offer detailing the year group, term of entry, and enrolment conditions.
To secure a place, families must submit the signed Acceptance of a Place Form and pay the Registration Fee of THB 225,000 within 10 days.
Step 7. Welcome
Once the offer is accepted, families receive a Welcome Package including orientation materials and key documentation (medical forms, uniform information, Wellington Extra, security access, and car registration).
Parents are invited to school prior to enrolment and introduced to our Parent Portal, providing access to reports, communications, and school updates.
Step 8. Enrolment
Our Admissions Team supports you through every step until your child’s first day, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition into the Wellington community.
* While every effort is made to ensure information is current, families are encouraged to confirm details directly with the Admissions Team. Current parents can access additional information via the InWellington portal.
