Gary joined Wellington College Bangkok in August 2022 from Shanghai. His first steps into education came after studying Performance Music at the University of Leeds (York St. John campus). Working as a Community Rugby Coach for the Rugby Football Union and voluntary work in Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe, he initially gained lots of experience working in junior schools. This led him to complete his PGCE through the University of Sunderland whilst teaching at an international school in Milan in 2015. He is now specialising in English teaching, undertaking a range of training focused on Talk for Writing and Talk for Reading techniques for challenging and supporting each student who he teaches.
