Mr Gavin Beal joined the EAL department at Wellington Bangkok in 2025. Mr Beal graduated in 2013 from the University of Essex with a first-class undergraduate degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and, through continued development, gained his master's-level practical teaching qualification (DELTA) in 2016. He began his career teaching English for Academic Purposes at the University of Essex in 2013, before joining the British Council Thailand in 2014. Gavin specialized in teaching English to young learners, including exam preparation and IELTS instruction. In 2017, he became Senior Teacher for Young Learners Thailand, continuing his journey as a teacher while designing national IELTS courses and tutoring teachers through undergraduate and master’s-level teaching qualifications. “I am passionate about helping students develop their confidence, accuracy and fluency in English, empowering them to engage effectively in another language. I believe in recognizing students as individuals and tailoring guidance to address their specific needs, helping them grow both academically and personally. Teaching English as an additional language allows me to support learners at every stage of their journey. I look forward to sharing my passion and experience in teaching and contributing to the community at Wellington Bangkok.”
