He has previously taught at Brighton College and the Junior Department at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in the United Kingdom. Throughout his career, Gianni has held teaching roles in both primary and secondary settings, including Lead Music Teacher, where he was responsible for curriculum design, directing ensembles, developing instrumental programmes, and creating performance opportunities for students across the school. He has a particular interest in building strong foundations in musicianship, ensemble playing, and instrumental learning, and in creating clear pathways for students to progress from beginner to advanced level.

Alongside his teaching career, Gianni maintains an active professional performing schedule as a trumpet player. He has performed with leading ensembles including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, and the British Sinfonietta. He has also been invited to adjudicate music competitions at prestigious schools such as Stowe School and St Paul’s School.

Gianni completed his PGCEi in partnership with Birmingham City University, demonstrating his strong commitment to professional development and high-quality music education. With his combination of classroom experience and professional performance background, Gianni is passionate about inspiring students, developing confident young musicians, and building a vibrant and ambitious music programme across the whole school.
