Helen Mathews joined Wellington Bangkok as the Director of Sport in August 2022. Previously, she was Head of Senior School PE at Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong, where she had worked since 2015. Ms. Mathews graduated from St Mary’s University in 2004 with a degree in Sports Science and a PGCE in Physical Education. She has since taught across three different schools in the UK, Italy, and China. Applying innovative and forward-thinking strategies has resulted in an enriching and dynamic programme which keeps students engaged and wanting to learn. "Striving to make all students feel happy, valued and prosperous is at the core of my motivation for my job. I have an insatiable appetite for creating the best PE and sports programmes possible and am thrilled to be working at Wellington Bangkok sharing my passion for this subject and always working to make the maximum impact. I direct sport provision for all students of all abilities and am always striving to support each and every student to grow and flourish."
