Nathalie Findlay joined Wellington College International Bangkok’s Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Department in December 2020. She graduated from the University of Brest – Université de Bretagne Occidentale - in 1996 and obtained her teaching qualification in French the following year. After teaching in France for a few years years, Nathalie moved to Dubai before relocating to the UK, where she completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Modern Foreign Languages at the University of Worcester, graduating in 2008. She then returned to Dubai, where she taught French in a number of international schools, most recently at Swiss International Scientific School Dubai.

“I love teaching French because a language is so much more than words and grammar — it is a window into different cultures, perspectives and ways of life. In my classroom, I want every student to feel safe to try. Learning a language inevitably involves making mistakes, and I believe that a supportive environment where students can take risks without fear of getting things wrong is essential. My aim is to help students become confident communicators while developing their curiosity and appreciation for the diverse and fascinating world of French and Francophone cultures.”
