Welcoming the Newest Wellingtonians!

The new academic year began with a special milestone for the many new students joining Wellington College Bangkok, as they took part in our annual Student Orientation Day.

Before the campus welcomed back all students, we opened our doors to those beginning their journey with the College, giving them the opportunity to settle in, build confidence and become familiar with their new surroundings.  Throughout the day, students met their teachers, got to know their classmates and explored the classrooms and learning spaces that will become part of their daily lives. Staff were on hand throughout to answer questions, provide guidance and ensure every student felt welcomed into the Wellington community from the moment they arrived. 

As part of the induction, students also received important information about school life, including their timetables, daily routines and expectations for the year ahead. They were introduced to key members of staff, learned how to navigate the campus and older students collected their IT devices, ensuring they were fully prepared for learning from the very first day of term. 

While the practical aspects of the day were important, Student Orientation Day is equally about helping new students feel a sense of belonging. Through a variety of activities and opportunities to connect with one another, students have already begun to form friendships and grow in confidence before the rest of the school returned.

Starting at a new school can feel like a significant step, our orientation programme is designed to ensure that every student feels known, supported and excited for the opportunities ahead.  We are delighted to welcome all of our new students and their families to Wellington College Bangkok and look forward to seeing them flourish as members of our community throughout the year.
