Exceptional 2025 IGCSE Results at Wellington College Bangkok

Wellington College Bangkok is proud to confirm our exceptional set of IGCSE results from the 2025 cohort, with students achieving outcomes that place the school firmly among the top-performing schools in Thailand.

This year's results reflect the ambition, dedication and academic rigour that underpin a Wellington education. Across all subjects, A* was the most commonly awarded grade, while 70% of all grades achieved were either A* or A.

Particularly strong performance was seen across the sciences, with 88% of all Biology, Chemistry and Physics grades awarded at A* or A. Ten subjects achieved a remarkable 100% A*/A pass rate, demonstrating both the breadth and consistency of academic excellence across the curriculum.

Alongside these outstanding collective achievements, individual students also earned international recognition for their success. James was awarded Top in the World for IGCSE Mathematics by Cambridge Assessment International Education, having achieved the highest mark globally in the qualification. Gaemyui received the award for Top in Thailand for IGCSE Physical Education, recognising the highest performance nationally in the subject.

Head of Senior School, Ms Jane Sharp spoke proudly of the achievements:

"These accolades are a testament not only to the students' exceptional efforts, but also to the strength of the teaching, support and academic challenge provided throughout their educational journey at Wellington. It reaffirms what we knew already about the provision at our school, but more importantly, the grit, determination, and abilities of our students. We are all excited for the upcoming 2026 cohort results later this summer."

The school's commitment to developing academic excellence begins well before students reach their final examinations. This was further demonstrated by the performance of students sitting IGCSE Mathematics examinations early. In the November 2025 examination series, Wellington's Higher Mathematics cohort achieved a 100% Grade 9 pass rate – an exceptional result that highlights both strong foundations and a culture of high achievement.

These outcomes reflect Wellington's approach to education: combining high expectations, expert teaching and individual support to ensure every pupil is challenged to achieve their full potential. While examination success is only one measure of a student's development, these results provide clear evidence of the strength of the school's academic provision and the dedication shown by both students and staff.
