The Class of 2026 has made history at Wellington College Bangkok

As the school's pioneering Year 13 cohort, these 36 graduates are the first students to complete their entire senior school journey and progress to universities around the world. Their achievements mark a significant milestone not only for the students themselves, but also for the continued development of Wellington as one of Thailand's leading schools.

The breadth and quality of university offers received by this inaugural cohort has been exceptional. Students have secured places at some of the most respected institutions across the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Europe and Thailand, with several also receiving scholarship offers in recognition of their academic, creative and personal achievements.

Among the offers received are places at globally renowned universities including Stanford, Yale, Columbia, Northwestern, Imperial College London, University College London (UCL), King's College London, the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia, the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney, the University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Georgia Institute of Technology, Purdue University and Erasmus University Rotterdam.

The strength of the cohort is further reflected in offers from many of the United Kingdom's most highly regarded institutions, including Durham, Warwick, Bath, Bristol, Edinburgh, Manchester, Exeter, Nottingham, Birmingham, York, Sheffield and Loughborough. Together, these universities consistently rank among the leading institutions nationally and internationally, recognised for their excellence in teaching, research and graduate outcomes.

What makes these results particularly impressive is the diversity of student aspirations they represent. While many students have pursued highly competitive STEM pathways, receiving offers in fields such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Medicine-related disciplines and the Physical Sciences, others have secured places in Business and Economics programmes at leading universities around the world.

Equally noteworthy is the success of students applying to Creative Arts and Design courses. Offers have been received from specialist institutions including the University of the Arts London, Goldsmiths, Arts University Bournemouth, the University for the Creative Arts and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, demonstrating Wellington's commitment to nurturing talent across a wide range of disciplines.

Students pursuing Humanities and Social Sciences have also achieved excellent outcomes, receiving offers from highly respected universities across multiple continents and reflecting the increasingly global nature of higher education.

These achievements build upon the outstanding academic results achieved by Wellington students throughout their school careers. Earlier this year, the school celebrated exceptional IGCSE outcomes, including A* being the most common grade achieved, 70% of all grades awarded at A* or A, and international recognition through Top in the World and Top in Thailand awards from Cambridge Assessment International Education.

Senior School Deputy Head (Academic), Mr Xinhai Lin, spoke about the offers:
