Katrina Baxter will join Wellington College Bangkok as an Art teacher. She graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Postgraduate Degree in Secondary Art Teaching and from the University of Dundee with an Honours degree in Animation and Electronic Media. 

Her first teaching role was at St Thomas of Aquin’s High School in Edinburgh, where she taught the Scottish curriculum, including National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Art and Design. For the past two years, she has been teaching at Al Ain English Speaking School in the UAE, delivering GCSE and A Level Art. 

“Art education is about so much more than learning how to draw or paint; it is about helping students see the world differently, ask questions, take creative risks, and express who they are. I love that Art gives students the freedom to experiment, solve problems in unique ways, and build confidence in their own ideas and abilities. 

Creativity is such an important life skill, and I believe the Art classroom should be a place where students feel inspired, supported and excited to try new things. One of the best parts of being an Art teacher is watching students surprise themselves with what they can achieve and seeing their confidence grow along the way. I am really excited to share my passion for Art with the students at Wellington College Bangkok and to inspire them to see creativity as a powerful tool for both personal expression and understanding the wider world.”
