Xiuxian (Molly) Mo joined Wellington College Bangkok in August 2023. Molly graduated from University College London with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and Qualified Teacher Status. She also holds a master’s degree from Sun Yat-sen University and a bachelor’s degree from South China Normal University. Prior to coming to Bangkok, she taught as a Chinese teacher at Torquay Boys’ Grammar School in South Devon, England, starting in 2017, and later became the Subject Leader of Chinese at Harris Academy Beckenham in London in 2020. Over her six years of teaching in England, she has taught GCSE Chinese, A-level Chinese, IB Chinese, Japanese, and EAL. Molly has a deep passion for language learning. In addition to Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, she has studied Japanese and Spanish, and she loves connecting with locals during her travels—an experience that helps her empathize with her students' language-learning journeys. “Learning languages is a long but rewarding journey that opens many opportunities for students. I am honored to share my passion and joy for teaching and learning with them.” Molly is also committed to holistic education. As of August 2024, she serves as the Coordinator of Global Citizenship and High-Quality Learning in the Senior School.
