Liu Zonglu joined Wellington College Bangkok in August 2025 as a Mandarin Teacher, bringing over 13 years of experience in international schools across China and Thailand. She holds a master's degree in teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Jinan University, China, and a bachelor's degree in teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from China Women’s University, Beijing.
Passionate about language and cultural education, Ms Liu creates engaging, inclusive and cross-curricular Mandarin lessons tailored to diverse learners. Her experience includes teaching both native and non-native Mandarin, IGCSE Mandarin, and HSK/YCT preparation, as well as designing immersive cultural experiences such as Chinese New Year performances.
Ms Liu believes that language learning should be active, meaningful and student-centred. She strives to nurture curiosity, confidence and a lifelong appreciation of Mandarin and Chinese culture, while encouraging every student to discover and fulfil their potential.
