Head of Senior School, Jane Sharp, joined Wellington in August 2024. Jane has an extensive background in independent secondary schools and joined Wellington College Bangkok from Roedean School, a leading academic independent day and boarding school in Brighton, UK, where she was Senior Deputy Head. Jane has previously been Deputy Head: Academic, Director of Teaching and Learning, Head of University Admissions and Careers, and Head of Geography. Jane began her career teaching Geography and Geology in a state secondary school in East Sussex, UK. Jane is an Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) Inspector, and has also been a Governor at a community primary school in West Sussex. Apart from the UK, Jane has lived in Fiji, Australia and The Maldives. Jane has a Bachelor’s degree in Geography & Geology (BSc), and a Masters in Geophysical Hazards (MSc), and a PGCE teaching qualification from the University of Sussex. “It is an incredible privilege to be the Wellington College Bangkok as Head of Senior School. Our students have such a wealth of opportunity, and they clearly have a deep sense of pride in being part of such a vibrant school community. Alongside our excellent reputation, before joining the school I was enormously impressed by the commitment and enthusiasm of the staff and students, and feel privileged to lead the Senior School at such an exciting time of its growth and development.”
