Congratulations to Ayrton (Year 7)

We are thrilled to celebrate another standout performance from Wellington College Sports Scholar Ayrton at Round 3 of the RMC Asia Trophy 2026, held at LYL International Karting Circuit in Malaysia.

Competing in the Micro Max category with RL Karting, one of Malaysia’s highly selective karting teams, Ayrton delivered an impressive weekend:

🏁 Qualifying Heat: P1
🥈 Final Race: P2, finishing just half a kart length from victory
⚡ Fastest Lap: Set a new personal best

Despite mechanical issues affecting his next round, Ayrton remains P2 in the cumulative championship standings and, after the official drop-score calculation, has risen to 🥇 No. 1 in the Asian Standings.

With his sights now firmly set on the RMC Grand Finals in Portugal this November, Ayrton will take part in an intensive training programme as he prepares to represent Thailand on the world stage.

A remarkable season continues — well done, Ayrton, and best of luck for Portugal!

Congratulations to Rods (Year 10)

We are thrilled to celebrate Rods’ impressive debut in the TOYOTA GAZOO RACING THAILAND 2026 – YARIS One Make Race at the Bangsaen Grand Prix 2026.

At just 14 years old, Rods was the youngest driver on the grid and secured an outstanding 5th place out of 30 competitors in his very first race, taking on one of Thailand’s most challenging street circuits.

An incredible start to his racing journey — well done, Rods!

We are delighted to celebrate Klarnissa’s outstanding performance at the 1st PRO SWIM SERIES 2026 Swimming Championships, held at Thammasat University Aquatic Centre from 28–30 August.

We are proud to celebrate another impressive series of performances from Music across three WAGR Girls tournaments in 2026:

🏆 Winner – TJGGA Open Championships 2026, finishing an outstanding 8 under par over three rounds.

🥈 1st Runner-Up – Thailand Junior Championship–AJGA International Pathway Series 2026, finishing 7 under par over three rounds.

🥈 1st Runner-Up – The JGS Central #2 Point Race to Singapore & Taiwan, finishing 1 under par over three rounds.

A remarkable run of results and a wonderful reflection of Music’s consistency, determination, and growing success on the course. Well done, Music! 

Congratulations to Moment (Year 5)

We are delighted to celebrate Moment’s outstanding performance at the JGS Central #6 Tournament at Black Mountain Golf Club.

Competing in the Class E Boys category, Moment recorded the lowest score in both rounds, shooting an exceptional 11-under par in Round 1 and 7-under par in Round 2.

Moment also helped lead the Wellington Team to victory in the JGS Academy League. After finishing Round 1 in 2nd place at 9-under par, the team made a remarkable comeback to win the tournament with an impressive 16-under par total.

We are thrilled to celebrate an outstanding achievement by three members of The Senses, Band of Wellington College International Bangkok, who have all qualified for the Grand Final of The POWER BAND 2026 (Season 6) — one of Thailand’s major national band competitions.

🎹 Yuri – Keyboard, Smitr Band
🎤 Nida – Vocal, SNAP6 Band
🎸 Eiffel – Bass, Break Through the Ceiling (BTC) Band

With nearly 300 bands entering the competition, reaching the Grand Final is a remarkable accomplishment. The three musicians will take the stage on 25 September 2026, competing for the championship with their respective bands.

A brilliant achievement for three talented Wellington musicians — we’ll be cheering you on!

Congratulations to Shuya Arshad (Year 3)

We are delighted to celebrate an exceptional summer of music for Shuya, who achieved outstanding results in three international piano competitions:

🥇 27th Osaka International Music Competition 2026 – Gold Prize and qualified for the Final Round in Osaka.

🏆 Kawai International Music Competition 2026 – First Prize with an impressive 91.33, the highest score in her age category, qualifying for the Final Round in Japan.

🥇 Taiwan International Music Competition 2026 – Gold Medal and third-highest score in her category, qualifying for the Final Round in Taiwan.

With three international finals ahead in Osaka, Japan, and Taiwan, Shuya’s summer has been a remarkable one.

A fantastic achievement and a wonderful milestone in Shuya’s musical journey — well done!

Congratulations to Oscar (Year 8)

We are proud to celebrate Oscar’s recent Certificate of Recognition from Thailand’s Department of Children and Youth, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, recognising his selection as a Thailand representative for the CISV International Village Programme in Germany.

Oscar spent a month in Germany, connecting with young people from around the world and developing a deeper understanding of cultural exchange, friendship, cooperation, and global citizenship.

A meaningful achievement and a wonderful experience — congratulations, Oscar! 

Congratulations to Lincoln (Year 9)

We are proud to celebrate Lincoln’s Third Place achievement in Public Speaking (Born in 2012–2013) at the Harmony Tree International Speech Festival (HTISF) 2025–2026 Asia Division Grand Final.

For his Grand Final speech, Lincoln explored the idea of “the tradition of being present,” sharing a heartfelt reflection on how meaningful moments are sometimes best experienced rather than recorded.

Drawing on the memory of watching his 71-year-old grandfather complete a 42-kilometre marathon, Lincoln reminded us that some memories stay with us not because we captured them, but because “I felt it completely.”

A thoughtful message delivered with confidence and heart — well done, Lincoln!
