Academic Awards and Recognition

Wellington students have also received recognition from examination boards for exceptional individual performances. Recent awards have included:

  • Top in Thailand for Cambridge IGCSE Physical Education.

These awards are based on performance in individual examination series and should be read alongside the year in which each qualification was completed.

Understanding Our Results

The percentages on this page refer to examination grades unless they are explicitly described as percentages of students. IGCSE results may include qualifications using either letter grades or numerical grades, depending on the examination board.  For reporting purposes:

  • Grades 9-8 are treated as equivalent to A*.
  • Grade 7 is treated as equivalent to A.
  • Grade 6 is treated as equivalent to B.
  • Grade 5 is treated as equivalent to C.

Results are reported for the named examination year and should not be interpreted as averages across multiple cohorts. Subject-level figures relate only to the students entered for that particular subject.
