Entry Points & Year Groups

Most students joining Wellington will enrol at the start of the academic year (Michaelmas Term) in August, although we also have lots of students who join at the throughout the year. Where spaces are available, entry is possible across the entire year. Students are placed based on their date of birth using the chart below, although circumstances sometimes necessitate enrolment outside of the structure below, including prior schooling, moving from a southern hemisphere calendar, or where school staff make recommendations in the interests of the student’s academic and personal development. Placement outside of the table below will always be discussed with parents/guardians in advance.
