Melissa Blake will join Wellington College Bangkok as Teacher of Design Technology and EPQ Coordinator, bringing with her extensive experience in design education and a strong commitment to developing independent, curious learners.
She most recently worked at The Perse Upper School, Cambridge, where she taught for eight years and also served as Head of House and Subject Mentor for Early Career Teachers.
Alongside her school-based role, Mrs Blake works with Cambridge OCR as an Assessment Specialist and Professional Development Lead and Trainer for the A Level Design Technology specification, contributing to the wider national landscape of design education.
"Design Technology and independent research are, at their core, about learning to understand the world - how it works, why it is the way it is, and how we might shape it differently. That is what I hope to nurture at Wellington: students who have the curiosity and confidence to keep asking those questions throughout their lives."
