Silvia Torrijos joined Wellington College International School in the MFL department in August 2023. She graduated from the University of Zaragoza with a BA in English Language and Literature and then took a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at King’s College London in both French and Spanish. Silvia has experience teaching in a variety of backgrounds and has worked in leading MFL departments in the UK before embarking on her International School adventure. "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the students at Wellington College International School. Teaching Spanish is not just about the language; it’s about sharing the culture, history, and diversity of the Spanish-speaking world. I believe that learning a language opens doors to understanding different perspectives and building connections. Helping students discover their passion for language and communication is why I love teaching Spanish."
