Mr Flegg joined the Wellington College Bangkok as a Year 3 teacher in August 2023. He has lived in Bangkok for 11 years, 8 of which at another top international school, where he held the position of Assistant Head of Primary along with other subject leadership roles – most prominently in maths. He graduated from the University of Bedfordshire in 2012 with a B.Ed. in Primary Education, specialising in English and design technology. Following his graduation, he worked in an outstanding Primary school as a Year 3 teacher and head of music. 

“I am excited to be continuing my teaching journey at Wellington this year. Having been settled in the Wellington area for several years now, I am looking forward to further developing my role within this fantastic community. I truly believe in the adage: ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ and as such am looking forward to getting to know better and working with all members of our community to help our students learn and grow into well-rounded, confident individuals. At the heart of my pedagogy lies a commitment to establish trust within the classroom. By fostering a sense of safety and security, students will be empowered to embrace challenges and engage wholeheartedly in their learning, unlocking their full potential."
