Crowthorne Building

Named after the home of Wellington College in the UK, and opened in Summer 2025, Crowthorne is the College’s newest building and complements the Junior and Senior School facilities, as well as providing new spaces and extensions to other facilities, such as the Theatre.

The Ground Floor is home to an extensively equipped Music Department, including two large classroom and performance rooms, one digital music classroom (including a fully equipped recording studio and state-of-the-art iMac computers with editing software), a traditional theory classroom, and 16 sound-proofed 1-on-1 performance rooms.

Above Music lies the world-class Design Technology department.  Alongside two large workshops fitted with industry-grade machinery, there are also two digital workshops which include a vast array of 3D printers, laser cutting and CNC machines, and virtual reality technology.  A robotics room sits adjacent to a computing room equipped with ultra-modern hardware and software.

Year 5 and Year 6 teaching and learning spaces sit on the next two floors, including classrooms, Science laboratory, Art studio, language and EAL classrooms, Counselling room, Harkness rooms, and central Learning Studios with incorporated library facilities.

The top two floors of the building feature dual Drama studios, cookery room, Senior School traditional classroom spaces, multi-faith prayer rooms, communal study spaces, and a vast multi-function space – Elizabeth Hall – which is used for examinations, events, and various other activities.
