Michael Hetherington joined Wellington College Bangkok in 2024 as a class teacher, having previously worked in Abu Dhabi and at Wellington College Shanghai. He has over ten years’ experience as a teacher, both in the UK and internationally.
Mr Hetherington graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA degree in English Language, Literacy and Communication. Following his graduation, he completed his PGCE at Newcastle University and began teaching in the UK, before deciding to enrich his teaching practice with international experience. Michael has taught across all Key Stage 2 Year groups during this time, as well as teaching early Key Stage 3 Maths to students in Years 7 and 8 while in China.
