Ms Yvette Stainsby joined Wellington Bangkok in Psychology Department in August 2025. Ms Stainsby graduated from Teesside University, where she earned both her MSc and BSc in Forensic Psychology. Following her studies, she has worked in the field of Psychology, within a diverse range of positions. Later, after completing her Postgraduate Certificate in Education at the University of Brighton, she took up her initial teaching role as Head of Psychology at a Further Education college. Most recently, she has served as Head of Psychology at Bede's Senior School since 2020, whilst also completing her Professional Doctorate in Education. “I remind myself daily that teaching is a privilege - teaching psychology is an honour. I firmly believe that Psychology is not a subject that is confined to textbooks or a classroom but a tool for us to understand and navigate the complexities of everyday life. I enjoy seeing the appreciation for the intricacies of human thought, behaviour and emotion grow with the students, enabling them to consider how we can interact more effectively in various situations. I aim to cultivate a genuine love for the subject in Wellington Bangkok students and empower them to apply their knowledge in the classroom as well as real world contexts. Additionally, I love seeing those moments of fascination and joy on the students faces when something really resonates or fascinates them. Skills learnt in Psychology will help them thrive in and outside the classroom. I am passionate about creating a learning environment where students not only grasp psychological concepts but also develop essential life skills that will serve them well in their future endeavours”
