WATCH: Our Pioneering Year 13 Cohort Story

We are proud to share two new films telling the story of a very special group of students - Wellington College Bangkok’s first graduating Year 13 cohort.

Filmed throughout their final year, the project follows our students as they prepared for A Level examinations, completed university applications, and began thinking about life beyond Wellington. Alongside their own reflections, the films include the voices of teachers and parents who supported them through this important year. 

The short teaser offers a first glimpse of their story, while the longer film captures it in greater depth. Together, they reveal the excitement of approaching graduation, the pressure and anticipation that accompany a final year at school, and the strength of the relationships built along the way.

This was a pioneering cohort in every sense. As the first students to complete their education through Year 13 at Wellington College Bangkok, they helped shape our Sixth Form and set a standard for those who will follow. Their graduation in June was an important moment in the life of the school, but it was also deeply personal for the students, families, and teachers who had shared the journey.

Their achievements were exceptional. The cohort secured offers from leading universities around the world, including Stanford, Yale, Columbia, Imperial College London, Kings College London, UCL, Loughborough, Chulalongkorn, the University of Toronto, the University of Hong Kong, the University of Sydney, and many more. 

Those offers tell part of the story, but the short film captures something more. It shows a group of young people reflecting on how they have grown, what Wellington has meant to them, and how it feels to leave behind a community that has played such an important part in their lives.

For everyone who helped establish Wellington College Bangkok and believed in what it could become, this cohort represents a significant milestone. For the students themselves, it marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
