Welly Walk 2026: Walking for Charity | Wellington Bangkok
The 4th Annual Welly Walk
09 October 2026
Wellington College Bangkok was on the move this morning as students, staff, and members of our community came together for our fourth annual Welly Walk. Starting with a sunrise session at 6am, participants completed circuit laps around campus, covering as much ground as they could to raise funds for the charities our school supports, including the Chaiyapruk Foundation.
Organised by Ms McCraw and supported by various other staff, the Welly Walk has become a much-loved opportunity to spend time together while contributing to causes beyond Wellington’s campus gates. Students of all ages took part, all with the sole aim of helping to support some fantastic causes!
This year, everyone’s efforts have particular significance following the recent flooding in Bangkok. We have already allocated THB 50,000 from the event to support local flood relief, helping those affected as they recover from the disruption and damage.
Last year’s Welly Walk raised an impressive THB 235,000, and we hope to surpass that total this time. The final amount will be announced soon, once all contributions have been counted.
Charitable work and community engagement are an important part of a Wellington education, giving students opportunities to understand the needs of others and take meaningful action. The Welly Walk brings our values to life, particularly Kindness and Responsibility, as our community gives its time and energy to support others. It also reflects Respect for the communities around us and the commitment to follow through on our intention to help.
Thank you to Ms McCraw, the organising team, and everyone who walked, donated, or supported the event. Together, you have helped turn a morning on campus into practical support for people who need it.
