Mr Chris Jenkins joined Wellington College Bangkok in 2018 and is a founder teacher. He has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wales, Lampeter, a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from the University of Wales, Carmarthen, and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Leicester University. Wellington College Bangkok is Chris’ fourth international school: he has previously taught primary school children in Chiang Mai, Cairo and Shanghai, having started his career in the United Kingdom. Chris was a Head of Primary School at Lanna International School, Chiang Mai and Year 4 Leader at Dulwich College Shanghai.  

Chris’s teaching experience has been almost exclusively in the English National Curriculum, and he is passionate about the excellent all-round education it provides young learners. Chris’s particular interests are Assessment for Learning techniques, the development of a Growth Mindset amongst students, as well as pastoral learning opportunities through the A-Z of Thinking Moves. “Developing young minds to be confident, self-driven and disciplined opens the gateway to opportunity and success in this ever-changing world.”
