Mrs Corrie Johnson joined our Early Years department in August 2025 having previously worked as an Early Years Music Specialist and cover teacher at a leading international school in Bangkok. With twenty-six years of experience in education across EY and Primary, including senior leadership roles, she brings a deep understanding of child-centred, play-based learning and a commitment to fostering strong relationships between children, parents and educators.  
  
Mrs Johnson graduated from Ripon and York St John with a music degree (Honours) with Qualified Teacher Status and has worked in schools across North Yorkshire. Shortly after qualifying, she completed a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course. Inspired to travel by her grandparents, she set off on her first overseas adventure at a school in Thailand. Since then, she has taught in Surrey, UK, and played a key role in the start-up teams of new schools in Malaysia, the Philippines and Myanmar.  
  
Wellington’s identity and values align with her own vision for both her teaching and the education of her two primary-aged children. Corrie enjoys working alongside a talented team to support every child to reach their full potential.

I aim to inspire our youngest learners to ask questions and express themselves with confidence, whether through music, movement or language. It is a privilege to share their first school experiences with them and to learn from them too. Seeing the world through their eyes and delighting in their moments of discovery and wonder is the magic of working in Early Years.”
