Jack Devonport will join the Chemistry department at Wellington College Bangkok in August 2026. Originally from the UK and currently teaching in Mexico City, Jack is an experienced educator with a passion for helping students develop curiosity and confidence in science. He believes Chemistry provides a unique opportunity for students to understand and question the world around them, encouraging them to become analytical thinkers and lifelong learners. 
 
Jack holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry, a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Sussex, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Prior to entering secondary education, he worked in university teaching and research before moving onto international schools. He has experience teaching Chemistry across a range of programmes including IB Diploma Chemistry, GCSE Triple Science and A-Level Chemistry.
