Ian joined Wellington College in April 2025 as the Director of Admissions & Marketing. He has worked in the private education sector across a variety of cities, including Lima (Peru), Beijing and Shanghai (China), and in Pattaya (Thailand) where his career in Admissions first began. Ian has extensive knowledge and experience in the field having previously worked as Admissions Manager, Director Admissions & Development, and Director of Admissions and Marketing within those schools. Ian is part of the Wellington College Senior Leadership Team, responsible for our strategic marketing plan with prime responsibility for driving high calibre student recruitment as well as supporting the school with retention. He will also coach and develop the commercial, creative and customer-orientated skills of his team. Apart from the UK, prior to his time in Thailand, Peru and China, Ian has also lived in Cyprus and has held a variety of roles within the UK Royal Air Force and as a Regional Operations Manager for a UK-based Finance company.
