Mr Simeon Banks joined Wellington Bangkok in August 2025. He holds a BSc in Earth Science from Liverpool John Moores University and an MSc in Environmental Remote Sensing from the University of Aberdeen. Mr Banks’ passion for working internationally was sparked by an International Award trip to India at age 17 and a later visit to Vietnam via Bangkok, where he immediately felt at home. After qualifying as an EFL teacher, he taught in Bangkok for two and a half years before completing his PGCE with QTS at the University of Nottingham. He then taught Chemistry and Science at The Regents School Pattaya, earned the International Teacher’s Certificate, and went on to teach Chemistry in Singapore for nine years. Most recently, he returned to Thailand to teach at BIST in 2022. Mr Bank is committed to helping students develop skills and confidence to pursue their dreams. He believes Chemistry empowers learners to understand interactions in the world and address sustainability through Green Chemistry. He is looking forward to contributing positively to the Wellington community and building on its proud educational traditions.
