The House System at Wellington College Bangkok

The House system at Wellington College International School Bangkok

In the Junior School we have four Houses – Stanley, Benson, Wellesley and Apsley. These form the foundation of the whole school structure. House Points, House Challenges, Sports Day, House Competitions and House Captains are all key elements of the Wellington community.

In the Senior School the House system becomes the central structure for pastoral care and student support. The four Junior Houses develop into eight Senior Houses:

  • Lynedoch
  • Picton
  • Anglesey
  • Talbot
  • Hill
  • Murray
  • Orange
  • Hopetoun

Each House has two House Tutors and two Tutor Groups, bringing together students from across Senior School year groups (Years 7–11). As students grow through the school, the House and Tutor Group become a small but powerful community.

Students from different year groups collaborate and support one another, while teachers take on mentoring roles that extend beyond the classroom. The House system helps create a strong sense of belonging, encouraging leadership, teamwork and personal development throughout a student’s journey at Wellington College Bangkok.
