At Wellington College Bangkok we strive to ensure and enable each individual student to reach their potential. Learning Support is integral to ensuring that this becomes reality.
Learning Support at Wellington is open to all students whether they have long or short-term needs. As a selective school, our admissions process enables both the school and families to ensure that the students attending Wellington College Bangkok are well supported from their very first day.
At Wellington College Bangkok we believe it is important to support the whole child and ensure that they are thriving in both academics and wellbeing.
Learning Support at Wellington College Bangkok is inclusive which means that it happens in the mainstream classroom. Children are enabled to access whole class teaching by being provided with pre teaching, additional practise as well as adult support and guidance during lessons. Students are encouraged to be independent in accessing support as they mature and can refer themselves for additional support during daily prep lessons.
Additional Support Plans outline the targets and strategies to support students with individual needs. This supports all teachers to be able to differentiate lessons to ensure students can reach the learning outcomes expected. Regular interventions are planned based on each student’s individual next steps, to ensure they make the best possible progress.
We understand that students achieve more when their wellbeing is well catered for and this is why we focus on the values of:
These values underpin the ethos we hold for learning support which equips us to provide a supportive learning environment that enables all students to thrive.
