Starting this week's stars of Wellington with pop star excellence, last week, Noey (Year 5) won 1st Place in the Pop Dance Solo category at the International Young Dancers Competition (IYDC) 2024. Keep dancing! We are absolutely thrilled and proud of this fantastic achievement. Way to go, Noey!

 

 

At the Greta Sports Club Tennis Junior Tournament, Emily (Year 5) faced Thailand's #1 player, Licca, in an electrifying semifinal match. After a close call and an intense battle lasting over 2 hours and 30 minutes, Emily showcased her remarkable talent, securing a well-deserved 3rd place overall. She also teamed up with Licca in doubles, where they won the tournament and continued their unbeaten streak in all their matches in Thailand. We're thrilled and incredibly proud of Emily's fantastic performance! 

 

 

Nava (Year 4) achievement in her recent golf tournament was nothing short of spectacular. Competing in the TGA-Singha Junior Golf Ranking 2024-2025 for the northeastern region, the first match took place on May 18-19 2024 at the Grandprix Golf Club in Kanchanaburi. Nava's scores were very impressive finishing as the WINNER with an overall score of (-2). We're incredibly proud of Nava's fantastic performance! Keep swinging, Nava! ⛳🏆

 

 

Music

 

 

Moving on to Music Stars, first up this week is Neve (Year 2) who wowed everyone at the Asia International Music Competition 2024, earning a Distinction Award for her outstanding violin performance. Her exceptional skill and dedication truly shone, and we couldn't be prouder! Bravo, Neve! 🎻 

 

 

Celebrating Milin's Musical Milestones! Milin (Year 2) has had an extraordinary year in music. She recently won Gold in the Violin category at the Sonata Classical International Music Competition and secured 1st Place at the St. Petersburg International Music Competition - Thailand Preliminary, advancing to the Final in Hong Kong. Additionally, Milin passed the ABRSM Harp Performance Grade 3 Exam with merit last year and has achieved the same grade with merit in Violin this year. We're incredibly proud of Milin's ongoing success and dedication! Keep inspiring us, Milin! 🏅

 

 

Alice Strikes Gold Again! Alice,(Year 5) has done it again! At the Sonata Classical International Music Competition 2024, she dazzled everyone by winning two Gold Prize Awards - one for her piano performance and another for her violin performance. Alice's remarkable talent and dedication continue to make our school proud. Keep shining, Alice!  

 

 

Big Cheers for Theelyn (Year 4)! Singing her heart out, Theelyn has clinched the Platinum Prize in the Junior (Age 8-10) Vocal category at the Schubert International Music & Art Competition 2024, Season 1! You're a superstar! 🌟
