Welcome back to Stars of Wellington! 

Once again, we’re packed with a variety of amazing achievements from our young talented stars excelling in academics, music, and sports. Let’s take a moment to celebrate each and every one of them! 

Academic 

We are thrilled to share that Lincoln (Year 7) has recently earned three prestigious awards recognising his talents and contributions: 

Outstanding Model Youth of the Year Award – 5th Edition 
Lincoln was honoured on 10 May 2025 as a “Youth Who Brought Honor to the Nation” by the Youth Creative Society Development Council under the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. This award celebrates young role models who inspire and uplift society. 

Shining Diamond Youth Award 2025 
On 3 May 2025, Lincoln received the Shining Diamond Youth Award for “Youth Who Brought Pride to the Nation” in recognition of his exceptional foreign language communication skills. This award was presented by the Youth Creative Society in partnership with the Thai-ASEAN Cultural Promotion Organization. 

Gold Medal — Thailand Science Ideation Contest 2025 (TSIC2025) 
Lincoln’s project, “Smart Alert Uniform,” earned him the Gold Medal and 2nd place nationwide in the Primary Grade 4–6 category. The competition, judged by experts from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and other top institutions, announced results on 15 May 2025.

Big congratulations to J-Jean!  

J-Jean (Year 11) has been selected as an alternate representative for Thailand in Grade 11 to compete at the English for Speakers of Other Languages International Olympiad (ESOLOI) 2025 in Bali, Indonesia.  

That’s not all — over the past few months, J-Jean has earned several impressive awards: 

  • Gold Award – Intermediate Mathematical Challenge 2025 
  • Gold Award – Kangaroo Math Thailand 2025 
  • Silver Award – Academic English Test of International Standard (AETIS) 2025 
  • Bronze Award – GMEC 2025 Olympiad Mathematics 
  • Bronze Award – GMEC 2025 Mathematics 
  • Bronze Award – Advanced English 2024 

We’re all so proud of J-Jean’s hard work and dedication. Keep up the amazing work!  


Music 

Faye Faye (Year 5) made the most of her school break by showcasing her musical talent on both national and international stages! 

🎹 In Tokyo, Japan, she competed in the final round of the Japan Music and Talent Competition 2025 and was awarded the Champion Award in the Piano Solo Group E Junior category. 

🎹 Back in Thailand, she earned the Gold Award in the Thailand Young Musician Award 2025, Piano Solo Grade 5 category. 

We’re incredibly proud of her talent, dedication, and musical excellence—bravo, Faye Faye! 


Kana has been shining in music for some time now, and the past two months have been nothing short of spectacular! 

On 7 April, she took home 1st Runner-Up at the Japan Music and Talent Competition (Final Round). Then, on 3 May, she struck gold with a Gold Award at the Yamaha Thailand International Music Competition (YTIMC) 2025. 

Huge congratulations, Kana — we love seeing your talent take centre stage! 


Alice Shines with Distinction in Flute Performance!

We’re delighted to celebrate Alice (Year 6) on her latest musical achievement—earning a Distinction in her ABRSM Grade 2 Flute Performance exam! 

Flute is Alice’s fourth instrument, alongside piano, violin, and singing. Though new to the world of woodwind, her talent, determination, and the support from her teachers—Ms Gwang, Mr Findlay, and Ms Corrigan helped her achieve this outstanding result. 

Alice continues to inspire young musicians with her belief that playing multiple instruments is possible with passion and perseverance! 


Sport  
 

A Big Congratulations to Nava! Over the weekend Nava impressed us all at the SINGHA Junior Golf Lower North Tournament, held at Narai Hill Golf Course in Lopburi. 

With a remarkable score of -3 on the first day and -6 on the second, she finished with a total of -9, earning 1st place in the Girls’ Class D category. 

We are all so proud of her incredible achievement — well done, Nava! 


We’ve had a week full of fantastic golfing achievements, and Vda (Year 4) is no exception! Last weekend, she impressed us all at The Junior Golf tournament, held at Pattana Sports Resort in Chonburi, where she finished as 2nd Runner-Up in Class DG. 

She played two strong rounds, scoring 79 on Day 1 and 84 on Day 2, showing great focus and consistency throughout the competition. 

With her spirit and steady progress, Vda is proving to be a young golfer to watch. This is just the beginning of her journey in Class DG and we’re all cheering her on every step of the way!  


Our Hockey Stars Shine Bright in U10 and U12 3-on-3 Tournament 

We’re thrilled to share the exciting news that Nuclear (Year 4) and Marven (Year 5) have scored big by becoming champions in the recent 3-on-3 Hockey Tournament for the Under-10 (U10) and Under-12 (U12) categories, held from 4 –6 April 2025.  
 
Even more impressive: 
- Nuclear earned the MVP of the Match award 
- Marven took home MVP of the Tournament

We’re so proud of their energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship, and the fantastic honour they’ve brought to our school! 


Ayrton (Year 5) Races from the Back Row to Double Trophy Victory! At RMC THA Round 1 on 5–6 April 2025 at Bira Kart, Pattaya 

Kart No. 99 – Ayrton wearing his signature Senna helmet for Team Sodi Thailand (DT Motorsport), transformed a technical setback into a thrilling comeback at RMC Thailand Round 1. 

Starting from the back row, Ayrton carved through the field in the final and brought home: 

- 1st Runner-Up – Micro Rookie 
- 4th Place – Micro Max 

A superb show of grit, skill, and racing spirit—well done, Ayrton! 


RMCIT Asia 2025 — Our Brother Racers Take on the World! 
 
Ayrton (Year 5) Kart No. 2 — DNF in the final 
Alain (Year 4) Kart No. 8 — finished 15th (P15) 

 
both from Team Thailand, competed against 21 racers from around the world — including the son of legendary F1 driver Kimi Räikkönen. 

We’re so proud of their effort and honoured to have them representing Thailand on this global stage!
