It’s that time of year—we’re saying goodbye (just for now!) as the 2024–2025 academic year comes to an end. But before we head off for the summer, we’ve got one last round of Stars of Wellington to celebrate! And what a line-up it is! From sports to performing arts and everything in between, this week’s Stars have truly shone in every corner—and we’re so proud to finish the term by celebrating them.

So let’s give a big cheer to our final Stars of the year! Have a brilliant summer break, and we can’t wait to see you back in August, ready for another amazing year ahead!

Sport

Huge congratulations to Oliver, Jacob, and Namish (Year 3), and Alan (Year 4) who became Bangkok Evolution League Champions as part of the Bangkok Galaxy Football Club (2016 age group)! ⚽

The Wellington boys played a key role in a team that went unbeaten all season with a 100% win rate—an incredible achievement! The team was also expertly guided by none other than our very own Coach James.

Well done to all!

We’re proud to announce that Nava (Year 5) has been selected as the sole representative from Wellington to join the Thailand National Youth Golf Team (Under-11 category).

Nava will compete on the world stage at the USWING Mojing Junior World Golf Championships 2025, taking place from 8–10 July 2025 in San Diego, California—right in the middle of our summer break! Junior golfers from 56 countries will gather to showcase their talent.

Mr Rangsarit Laksitanon, President of the Thailand Golf Association, congratulated the young athletes, highlighting the tournament’s prestige and the incredible dedication required to qualify.

We wish Nava the best of luck as she represents Wellington and Thailand at this prestigious event!

Congratulations to Music (Year 11) for winning her qualifier in Utah! This victory secures her a spot at the prestigious Women’s US Junior Amateur Championship this July. We’re so proud of her achievement and wish her all the best in the competition!

Over the weekend, Punn (Year 5) took part in the Tecnifibre Schools Tennis 10s Tournament 2025 at Greta Sport Club, Pattaya and walked away with two fantastic wins!

Winner – U10 Boys' Doubles

Finalist – U10 Boys' Singles

It was a gruelling competition, with Punn playing seven matches in one day from 8am to 9pm! Despite a tough fall and injury during the U10 Singles final, he showed true resilience, pushing through to a dramatic 3–3 tie before narrowly missing the win in a 4–7 tiebreaker.

A huge well done to Punn—we’re incredibly proud of your determination and sportsmanship! 💪

Sibling Success at the Alpine Junior Championship 2025! Congratulations to VJ (Year 9) and VDA (Year 4) — a talented brother-sister duo who both earned 1st Runner-Up honours at the Alpine Junior Championship 2025 on 23 June 2025!

VJ – Class A Boy
VDA – Class EG

The course presented a real challenge, with green speed at 11 — demanding both precision and control in chipping and putting.

Well done to both for their outstanding performance on such a competitive course! ⛳

What a weekend for Emily (Year 6), who showed incredible skill and determination at the Tecnifibre Schools Tennis Junior Tournament held at Greta Sport Club, Pattaya!

3rd Place – Girls Under 12
3rd Place – Girls Under 14 (including a tough quarterfinal win over the tournament’s 2nd seed)
Champion – Doubles

A huge congratulations to Emily for this fantastic all-round performance on the court! 🎾

Congratulations to Kraam (Year 5) for his outstanding performance at the DMK Plus Table Tennis Junior Championship over the weekend! Competing among more than 80 participants, Kraam proudly brought home two trophies:

3rd Place – Under 11 category
4th Place – Under 13 category

What makes this even more impressive is that Kraam is only 10 years old—yet he competed confidently in an older age group!

Well done, Kraam! Keep it up — we’re all so proud of you! 🏓

Ayrton (Year 5) made an impressive international karting debut at the RMC Asia Trophy 2025, held at the iconic Sepang International Kart Circuit.

After a season of strong and consistent performances, Ayrton carried his momentum into one of Asia’s premier karting events — and delivered! He showcased outstanding racecraft and determination, securing a well-earned 3rd place in a fiercely competitive field.

Joining him on the podium were two top-tier junior drivers: a fellow Thai teammate from DT Motorsport, who has previously represented Thailand at the Grand Finals in Italy, and a standout racer from the prestigious DRM Racing team.

What a thrilling debut — we can’t wait to see where Ayrton races next!

Performing Arts

Great (Year 7) wowed the judges at the Classical Music Competition 2025, hosted by Yamaha Music Thailand, and came away a winner on piano!

Her passion and hard work truly made her performance unforgettable. Well done, Great!

Congratulations to two of our talented Year 8 Drama students, Ava and Ivy. They recently took part in the prestigious Harmony Tree International Speech Festival (HTISF) and have achieved outstanding success in the Duologue category.

Out of hundreds of video entries submitted from across 15 participating countries – including Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and the UAE – Ava and Ivy were selected among the top 50 duologue pairs to reach the Grand Final. This is an incredible accomplishment in a truly competitive and international field.

The HTISF Global Adjudicating Panel praised all performers for their talent, growth, and commitment to the English language and the performing arts. As Grand Finalists, Ava and Ivy will receive internationally recognised certificates from Harmony Tree International in Canada. Additionally, their exceptional performance earned them a place in the festival’s top five, which means they’ll also be awarded a special Winner’s Pennant – a well-deserved honour for both students.

Lilin (Reception) recently took part in the Thailand Young Musicians Awards 2025 and earned a Silver Prize in the Piano (Age 4–6) category.

This is another shining example of the incredible young talent we have at Wellington — our musical stars just keep on rising!
