Celebrating the outstanding achievements of students at Wellington College International School Bangkok. Congratulations to Pangrum!

We are thrilled to celebrate a remarkable series of achievements in Pangrum’s swimming journey.

At the Thailand Swimming Championship 2026 – Region 1, Pangrum delivered an outstanding performance, winning 🥇 3 Gold Medals, 🥈 1 Silver Medal, and achieving the extraordinary feat of breaking the Thailand National Breaststroke Record. 🏆

Building on this success, Pangrum has now been selected by the Thailand Aquatics Association to represent Thailand at the Asian Games 2026 in Japan this September. Even more impressively, she is the youngest swimmer selected for the Thai national team, highlighting her exceptional talent and potential at the highest level of competition.

From breaking national records to earning a place on the national team, Pangrum’s achievements reflect an exceptional combination of dedication, perseverance, and excellence in the pool.

A truly outstanding accomplishment and a proud moment for the Wellington community — congratulations, Pangrum!


Congratulations to Navy (Year 5)!

We are delighted to celebrate Navy’s outstanding achievements at the Thailand Championship Pony Jumping Final 2026, organised by the Thailand Equestrian Federation and held from 3–7 June 2026 at the Horse Guards Riding Club, Bangkok.

Competing against talented young riders, Navy delivered an exceptional series of performances, achieving:

🏆 1st Place – Thailand Championship Pony Category C Final
🏆 1st Place – Horseguard Open 50 cm
🥈 2nd Place – Horseguard Open 60 cm
🥈 2nd Place – Horseguard Under-12 60 cm
🥈 2nd Place – Horseguard Under-12 50 cm
🥉 3rd Place – Horseguard Open 50 cm
🏅 4th Place – Horseguard Under-12 50 cm
🏅 5th Place – Thailand Championship Pony Category C Overall

These impressive results reflect Navy’s skill, dedication, and confidence in the arena, as well as her commitment to developing as a young equestrian athlete.

Congratulations to Ayrton (Year 6)!

We are thrilled to celebrate Ayrton’s extraordinary achievement in the RMC Thailand Championship 2026, where he earned the honour of representing Thailand in the Micro MAX category at the RMC Grand Finals 2026 in Portimão, Portugal, from 7–14 November 2026.

Ayrton secured this prestigious opportunity through an outstanding championship campaign, achieving podium finishes in all three rounds of the Thailand Championship (P3, P1, and P2) and claiming a P1 victory in the Double Entry race during the Asia Championship round. These impressive results earned him Thailand’s coveted ticket to the world finals. 🏆

The RMC Grand Finals is widely regarded as the pinnacle of global Rotax karting, bringing together more than 432 national representatives from over 60 countries. Competing in the renowned Arrive & Drive format, every driver races with identical equipment, ensuring that success is determined purely by talent, skill, and determination.

From the podiums of Thailand to the world stage in Portugal, Ayrton’s journey is a testament to his dedication, perseverance, and passion for motorsport.

A truly exceptional achievement — we wish Ayrton every success as he proudly represents Thailand on the international stage!


Congratulations to Punn (Year 6 Ellis)!

We are delighted to celebrate another outstanding achievement in Punn’s tennis journey at the ALM x Impact Junior Tennis Championship, where he was crowned 🏆 U12 Boys Doubles Champion.

This victory was particularly impressive as Punn and his partner, both just 11 years old, competed against older and highly experienced opponents throughout the tournament.

In the Semifinals, they produced a dominant performance to win 6–0. In the Final, they faced a strong pair of 12-year-olds, including a national youth team player. Playing on a challenging clay court, Punn and his partner demonstrated exceptional teamwork, composure, and tactical awareness to secure a memorable 6–4 victory and claim the title.

This achievement marks another significant milestone in Punn’s development as a young athlete and reflects the resilience, determination, and competitive spirit he brings to every tournament.

A fantastic accomplishment against top-level competition — well done, Punn!


Congratulations to Emily (Year 7)!

We are proud to celebrate Emily’s impressive performance at the LTAT ATF Asian Girls 14 International Tournament, organised by the Asian Tennis Federation.

Competing in her first international tournament in Thailand, Emily earned a wildcard entry into the main draw and faced a strong field of top players from across Asia in an older age category.

Emily delivered an outstanding performance, reaching the Quarterfinals and finishing 7th overall. Along the way, she played five highly competitive matches, including a notable victory over the No. 5 seed from Indonesia.

She also enjoyed success in the Doubles event, reaching the Quarterfinals with her partner and coming within touching distance of the Semi-Finals, holding five match points in a closely contested encounter.

This tournament provided valuable international experience and showcased Emily’s determination, resilience, and ability to compete at a high level against older opponents.

Congratulations to Nuclear (Year 5)!

We are delighted to celebrate Nuclear’s outstanding achievement in the Wellington Chess Extra Programme for Term 4 (2025–2026), coached by the JCA Chess School.

Nuclear emerged as the 🏆 Winner of the Secondary School Division, an exceptional accomplishment for a student in Year 5. Competing against and outperforming older students highlights his impressive strategic thinking, focus, and dedication to the game.

This achievement reflects not only his chess ability but also his commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

A remarkable success beyond his age group — congratulations, Nuclear!


Performing Arts Achievements

 

Congratulations to Ava Lou (Year 8)!

We are delighted to celebrate Ava Lou’s success at the National Music Competition 2026 – Royal Stage, held over the weekend.

Competing in the Piano (Age 12–13 Category), Ava Lou delivered an outstanding performance and was awarded the 🏆 Prestige Gold Prize.

This achievement reflects her dedication, musical excellence, and commitment to continually developing her talents.

A wonderful accomplishment on a prestigious stage — well done, Ava Lou!


Congratulations to Able (Year 5)!

We are proud to recognise Able Lou’s outstanding achievement at the National Music Competition 2026 – Royal Stage, held over the weekend.

Competing in the Drum Set (Age 10–11 Category), Able delivered a remarkable performance and was awarded the 🏆 National Champion Prize.

This prestigious achievement is a testament to his dedication, musical skill, and passion for percussion.

A superb accomplishment on a national stage — congratulations, Able!


Academics Achievements

 

Congratulations to Allie (Year 5)!

We are pleased to celebrate Allie’s achievement at the Singapore Mathematics Challenge (SMC) 2026 – Regional Round, where she was awarded a 🥈 Silver Medal.

This accomplishment reflects her strong mathematical ability, problem-solving skills, and dedication to academic excellence. Competing in a challenging international mathematics competition is a commendable achievement and a testament to her hard work and perseverance.
